How to Ask for Google Reviews (and Improve Your SEO)
Table of Contents
Have you ever wondered why the heck we ask for Google Reviews in the first place?
Well, we know that >80% of the time, a written review on Google is just as effective as a word-of-mouth referral for those searching for solutions.
This means Google Reviews directly help your business get more clients since they have almost as much power as a word-of-mouth referral.
Google reviews also help you improve your position on Google (gotta love that SEO).
There truly is no downside to asking for reviews, and the people you've helped are usually happy to write one when they're asked.
How to Make It Easy for Your People to Write a Review
Not sure how to direct your people to send in a review?
Make it easy by sending them a direct link (search your business on Google, it will open up your Google My Business Profile and click the "write a review" button, and grab that URL to share).
And when you ask… give prompts (discussed below)
Prompts to Share With Your People
Most people want to leave a great review. They just don't always know what to write. Give them prompts. Here are some you can share:
Write about where you started vs. where you are now after seeing insert provider or clinic here, working with insert person here.
Write about your experience at clinic name/with person's name and how it may be different from prior experiences, what you enjoyed, what you were excited about, etc.
Write about what helped to make your experience successful or enjoyable.
Write about what you are able to do or what you have after coming to clinic name (what couldn't you do prior?)/working with xx person.
Write about what you finally have relief from and/or what solutions you now have after coming to insert clinic name here"/working with xx person.
And remind them to include whether or not they would recommend you, or if they will return.
What You Need to Know
Ask for Google Reviews. Make it easy for your people by providing a link so they can leave one for you. And lastly, give prompts! We don’t want someone to get stuck on what to write.
